David McAuley will be joined the Band immediately after the Borders Entertainment contest  on 2nd November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David started playing trombone at the age of 8 with West Calder Public Band and he has played with many bands throughout the Lothians and Fife including Newtongrange, West Lothian Schools, &nbsp;Lochgelly and most recently Newmains.&nbsp; This has given him the privilege of working with many inspirational and talented conductors throughout his band career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2006 David started conducting West Calder Band and he has also taken Penicuik, McTaggart Scott and Dunfermline bands as well many others as a guest conductor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David commented \u201cI\u2019m greatly looking forward to working with such a hardworking and ambitious band as Peebles Burgh.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peebles Burgh Silver Band Media release 21 October 2024 We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Musical Director with Peebles Burgh Silver Band.
