Peebles Burgh Silver Band

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Musical Director with Peebles Burgh Silver Band. David McAuley will be joined the Band immediately after the Borders Entertainment contest on 2nd November 2024.
David started playing trombone at the age of 8 with West Calder Public Band and he has played with many bands throughout the Lothians and Fife including Newtongrange, West Lothian Schools, Lochgelly and most recently Newmains. This has given him the privilege of working with many inspirational and talented conductors throughout his band career.
In 2006 David started conducting West Calder Band and he has also taken Penicuik, McTaggart Scott and Dunfermline bands as well many others as a guest conductor.
David commented “I’m greatly looking forward to working with such a hardworking and ambitious band as Peebles Burgh.”
